today at the gym, the college-aged student working the towel station called me MA'AM. my jaw totally dropped and i said, uh...did you just call me ma'am?!?! the poor kid, he did some backpeddling. then when i went to drop off my towel and get my ID back he said, have a nice day extremely young woman. HAHAHA.
