a body at rest stays at rest

fuh reals, yo!

my yoga teacher once said this and i was all, yeah ok makes sense. and then suddenly i was never leaving my couch and just kinda "dead" up there. not creating and barely getting by in the school work area and not really choosing to interact with others. lots of you thought it was because i have an awesome BF now, but that was my bluff. i just didn't feel like doing anything. i think i left my house like, 4 times in the last month for fun activities.

anyways, today was a whole different story. why? because it was CRAFT day. willo mcwillster hosted and darren, ali, peter and I showed up at her house with craft projects in tow. i FINALLY made this necklace for willo that i promised to make, like, eons ago. we had seen this design at a swanky-ish store on 16th and it was NINETY-EIGHT DOLLARS. i said, willo please don't buy that, i can make it. so we collected the pieces and for under $30 i made it for her. it's even sterling silver, yo!

i also made some hezcatt buttons. i have this idea to pin the buttons to my bags (my design label is hezcatt) as a kind of tag. of course now i am thinking that i shoulda put my website on the buttons but i guess i can make more! i'm just feeling so motivated right now. i wish we could have craft day every day! or at least every weekend.

one of my assignments for class on tuesday is to write my personal mission statement. here is what i wrote!

I choose to be active every day of body and mind. To be creative every day and to engage myself daily with others and be non-judgmental, open, accepting and non-critical. Except for when people are wrong. Hahahaha! just kidding. i didn't include that last sentence.

i picked up a yummy burrito on my way home from willo's and now i am gonna reheat and eat. hey! that should be in my personal mission statement. reheat and eat. hahaha. that makes me laugh. THAT needs to be a button.

in other news: i can totally hear that rolling stones/metallica concert right now, sitting in my kitchen with windows shut. so i just stepped out on my deck and i heard mick singing satisfaction! awesome!

in other-other news: after la cornetta for my burrito, i ran over to walgreens to get a coke and an ice cream treat and on my way out, right in the middle of the intersection of mission and 23rd was a guy standing there waving his arms and yelling stuff. it looks like he just ran up, dropped his jacket and just started yelling. i don't remember what he was saying, but as i drove by a cop car had pulled up next to him. he still kept yelling.
