Shopping, Hair, and Cars + Day 7
This weekend I didn't really have any evening plans but that was cool with me because I was really looking forward to watching my Netflix movies! I had National Treasure, The Corporation and Murderball. All great movies...well, National Treasure was great in its own way.
On Saturday I was booked solid all day! I had coffee at Phil's with the wonderful Maria, who watched Ben-Ben and Shai while I was away, then I met Misty downtown for some serious H&M shopping, then I went to a Team in Training meeting, then I scooted over to the Zeitgeist to celebrate Pevil's birthday, and then on to get my hair re-cut. Phew!
Paul's Inner Circle
Our stylist Paul, and I say "our" because everyone who is reading this blog goes to see him, I think, has let me into his inner circle. Paul is totally hot and totally STRAIGHT. He is also a severe party-boy and for that reason I would never date him. I mean, not like Willo Fun Time Party but like getting so shitfaced that you get injured. Last year he sliced his wrist open and couldn't cut hair for months, and then on Satruday he told me that he woke up on New Years Day with a black eye and multiple cuts, scraps and abrasions all over his body. Turns out, he caught a girl who slipped off a stoop and then fell himself. The best part is, he has no recollection of this even after someone showed him a picture of him catching the girl (with his beer still in his hand). ANYWAYS, Saturday we bonded over metal. He told me he bought Megadeth's greatest hits. He asked for some names of more bands and I told him that I would burn him some CD's and bring them to my color appointment. He said to book an end of the day slot and that if I brought the metal he would bring the beer. HAHAHA! I think I WILL do this, but only because he won't have scissors in his hand. P.S. My hair looks ten times better.
Team In Training
For a while now I have been wanting to do a triathlon, but not being able to swim was kind of a deterrent. I mean, I can save myself but not for, like, a mile. But, I totally sucked it up and went to a meeting to find out more about the organization and the events and I left with having signed up for a Tri in MAUI in June. Saweeet! I have never been to Hawaii and this just sounds awesome! Plus I want to make a little vacation of it afterwards. I am so psyched to train. The schedule sounds grueling, 2 days of swim, 2 days of bike and 2 days of run a week but whatever! More to come on this!
Day 7
Wow. I can't believe its day 7 already! My kidney pains are almost gone and my teeth are no longer sensitive. Did I mention that before? Yeah, brushing with the Sonicare really sucked for a few days. But I took advice from the curezone forum and things seem to be putting along. I can't even tell you how much energy I have. Sunday I woke up at 6am and immediately commenced with the cleaning of the house. I even cleaned my refridgerator and was done with everything by noon. This morning I got up at 5am for my run and I am not even tired right now. What a change from a few weeks ago when it was killing me to get up at 6:30 just to come to work.
I do really miss eating though. And again, its really obvious that if I want to eat now, when I am not even hungry and can notice that because I am not focusing on food, when I AM eating food, how many times do I eat when I don't need to? Hi. Twenty extra pounds. I don't know if I lost any weight because I don't own a scale, but I measured myself and I have lost a half inch in the all the places (arm, chest, waist, hip, thigh). Sweet! My insides feel so great, not bloated or stuffed or poopy.
I was thinking of breaking the detox this Friday since that is when Negmeddin comes home and I would like to be able to go out to dinner with my boyfriend but, that will be 11 days and if I can go THAT long I should try to go longer! Well, we'll see.
Ok time to work. Oops I forgot to talk about cars! I'll do that tomorrow.
