Alcatraz and Mimosas

Today June picked me up at 7am and armed with a box of two dozen muffins and donuts from Dianda's we met some members from our Team in Training team to watch the beginning of Escape from Alcatraz.

We sat along the breakwater and watched people jump off a boat and into the Bay and then make their way back to shore. We couldn't actually see them jump off or actual swimmers but we could see a line of white, which was a bunch of people kicking and swimming.

We brought the muffins and donuts back to June's care because, man, those people just do not know what.is.up. How can you refuse free donuts and muffins from Dianda's!?! After that we headed over to the bike transition area and got there just as the first swimmer was running into it! I had a prime spot to look for my team members and snap some shots. When everyone was out on the run, we headed over to the finish line and had another prime spot for more teammate viewing and photo taking. Pictures here.

I came home briefly and then headed out to Misty's armed with 23 donuts and muffins from Dianda's (heh) for a brunchy, rock and roll, family day. So much food and sooo many mimosas. We watched an acoustic set from Dino from Serene Lakes and from Hijack the Disco. It was awesome to see Misty's niece and nephew mesmerized by live music. Pictures here.
