Five months ago I wrote this letter to myself at the Team in Training orientation. Hopefully you can read it. At the event, they suggested that we do this. That we will forget all about it and when they give it back to us we'll be really surprised.

Well, it was true. I did totally forget all about it. In fact, when I pulled it out of my pre-race day packet last night at track, I couldn't even remotely remember what I had written. I didn't read this letter until I was at work this morning and I was reading along fine and kinda thinking things like, oh the swimming...yeah I was worried about that. And running an hour...hahaha I just ran Bay to Breakers and signed up for the SF half marathon in July and am considering the NY Marathon. I even laughed at the first p.s. about stupid Chris Gage and how being HOT turned out to be NOT because he was all irritating. And then I got to the final p.s.s. and I read it and I burst into tears.

Yes, Hez, you DID get Lasik. And it's awesome and you're life has pretty much changed since then ,too, and even though you're feeling pretty crappy right now with that stuff that is going on, distant hopes come true. I love you, Hez!
