Rowing on the Bay
Sunday morning I woke up at the crack of dawn, which would of been my normal time by any standards except this was Day Light Savings weekend so that means up at 6am was really up at 5am and that was hard! I got my clothes on (all quick drying, man made fibers as instructed by Anita) and waited for her to pick me up.
This was going to be my first time ever on a boat in the bay! I'm pretty comfortable with being on a boat and wasn't really nervous at all, mostly because I know I can, at least, swim from Alcatraz if something happens. I don't know what the official place is called, but Anita is a member of a group who have a 6 man crew boat and a two man. Initially the plan was for me to go out in the 6 person boat with her and some other members, but instead we took out the two man on our own. I brought my camera along to take some aweome pics on the bay but as you can see, it's less of a "boat" and more of a "board." I didn't think it would be a good idea to bring it out, even if it was in a ziplock back.
We launched on the East side of Aquatic Park, paddled out of the park and into the bay and then all the way down to Crissy Field! Seriously! That was pretty far especially since I had never really been in a boat like this or have paddled in the official way, which is very complicated.
It was such an awesome morning and the beginning of a 70+ degree day. It was pretty amazing. When we got back we went nextdoor to Capurro's for breakfast. I had an $8 waffle. Then back home to start the day.

And it's supposed to be almost 70 degrees again this Saturday (3/17)! It would be a real shame if I spent the whole day whiskeyed and cocained-up.
Aaaaand sure enough.... Saturday was completely foggy and cold. I promise to NEVER post a weather prediction on this blog again.
